Social Media Community Manager - Book publishing
Allen & Unwin is Australia’s leading independent book publisher. Our hard-working, hands-on marketing team needs a creative, book-loving, digital native to manage our social media and other online marketing activity.
You will be in charge of our Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest and Instagram accounts promoting our very diverse range of books and authors. Tracking results and generating reports to help us refine our campaigns on the fly, you will also communicate to our enewsletter subscribers every month and help develop overall social media and SEO strategies. From time to time you will also work on cross media marketing campaigns which would see you developing point of sale, retailer promotions and traditional advertising.
We need someone who has a passion and understanding of social media and all things digital, someone with outstanding copywriting skills and experience with digital campaign analysis. You must also have experience with SEM and SEO, excellent organisational skills and fabulous attention to detail. Ideally the successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop and some exposure to website creation and maintenance.
Though this is a role with serious intent, it will best suit someone with a good sense of humour, a great sense of fun. An understanding of what constitutes good design (as it applies in a digital environment) would be really useful. Experience in book publishing along with some traditional marketing experience or tertiary qualifications in Marketing would also be a real advantage. It is essential that you have a passion for books.
