We are looking for a skilled professional with proven experience in communications, marketing, audience development and stakeholder engagement to drive the repositioning of the NFSA within the Australian community and our external stakeholder community.
You will lead in positioning the NFSA as an innovative and enriching member of the film, television and music communities, by re-conceptualising the NFSA’s Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and developing and implementing a Marketing and Communications Strategy addressing a diverse range of audiences via traditional and emerging communication channels.
You will complete this work in conjunction with the ongoing review and evolution of the NFSA’s social media strategy and the NFSA’s online strategy.
Your success will be underpinned by the delivery of high quality programs and services, easy to access and inspiring ????? ????? the national audiovisual collection, strategic collaborations, outstanding communications and marketing and stakeholder feedback and support.
About the Team
This position sits within the Strategic Communications, Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement section in the NFSA’s Access and Outreach Branch. This branch comprises of three sections - Access to Collections, Outreach Programs and Strategic Communications, Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement.
The branch is responsible for the NFSA’s outward facing activities and includes Collection Access, Loans and Sales, Canberra Programs, our prestigious Arc Cinema, Corporate Venue Hire, Regional Programs, Library, Rights Management and Research.

Demonstrated experience in developing successful dynamic and integrated communications and marketing functions and campaigns across traditional, social and emerging media.
High level experience in managing media liaison and strategic public affairs, with an understanding of government communication processes, preferably in relation to the cultural sector and/or industries.
Demonstrated experience to initiate, shape and innovate the development of strategic communications and marketing strategies that effectively promote the organisation’s profile, brand and products to a wide national and international audience.
Proven high level analytical skills. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions under pressure. Ability to excel at operating in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to build and enhance effective internal and external working relationships, including working collaboratively across a complex organisation.
Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing a diverse team, managing budgets and delivering ????? ????? within tight resources, and setting realistic deadlines in order to achieve results.
Communicating with skill, ability to negotiate persuasively, building support and influencing decisions. High degree of attention to detail particularly in written communication skills and strategy development.
