Reporting to the WHS Risk and Solutions Manager, this position will be based in Parramatta and will require you to develop and deliver specific projects that facilitate the effective implementation of the corporate H&S strategy and management system. As the Improvement and Systems Administrator a key responsibility will be to support the development, roll-out and maintenance of the corporate H&S management system. In particular, this role requires you to support new strategies via facilitating means for innovation around plant, process and technology, and providing communication and training where required. Additionally the role requires you to compile data for reporting to such groups as industry bodies, contractors and other stakeholders along with identifying trends in leading and lagging data. Your extensive knowledge and understanding of H&S will allow you to facilitate contractor and supply chain forums to engage on key issues and track progress. You must be able to; - Demonstrate a working knowledge of WHS Act, Regulations and associated Codes of Practices and Australian Standards
- Develop WHS campaigns focused on corporate objectives and risk areas
- Cultivate and implement H&S business strategies and promote innovation
- Contribute to and assist with special projects with industry groups to ensure consultation of agreed solutions
- Prepare reports and recommendations on H&S performance and related issues
- Lead or assist in internal/external H&S management system audits
To be successful you will possess a high level of interpersonal skills including team building and presenting and engaging with stakeholders. To this end, excellent oral and written communication skills are required. At a minimum you will hold a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety and OHS Auditor (Conduct). You will have at least 3 years working in a H&S position with experience in administrating and maintaining H&S business management systems. Please see attached position description.
