Educator (Child care assistant/Certified supervisor) - OOSH

 

Permanent Part-time role.

Ryde Before and After School Care is a non-for profit organisation run by a dedicated volunteer parent committee.

Ryde BASC is located in Ryde Public School next to Top Ryde City Shopping centre. We have two building dedicated to our service with renovated facilities and a large expansive outdoor grassed area. Ryde BASC is a 75-place service with a vacation care program.

The successful applicant will be working some split shifts during ????? ????? terms 7.00am -9.00am and 2:00pm- 6.00pm but all afternoons. Vacation Care hours are to be negotiated. Total term hours are 25hrs week +.

Responsibilities:

• Administration
• Read & develop an understanding of the service’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
• Participate in professional development
• Attend staff meetings
• Contribute to the development of the QIP
• Undertake duties as determined by the Nominated supervisor
• Comply with all service policy and procedures
• Programming –Based on My time our place
• Actively engaging with children during ????? ????? of the program
• Communicate with Children, staff and parents
• Work alongside the Nominated supervisor

Requirements:

• Current Senior First Aid Certificate / Asthma Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to work well within a team
• Supervisor certificate
• A Certificate IV or Diploma in Out of School Hours Care, Diploma in Children’s Services or working towards a relevant qualification or at least 3yrs experience working with 5-12yr olds in an OOSH environment
• A clear understanding and experience with the National Quality Framework - My place our time.
