The Assistant Director Strategic Analysis (AD Strategic Analysis) is responsible to the Section Head Security Analysis for management and oversight of analysis, development and delivery of intelligence led transport security risk context material utilising available national security and non-national security intelligence and transport security related information.

The role requires superior analytical capabilities, including the ability to absorb and assimilate large volumes of information into a comprehensive strategic understanding of the Australian transport security environment that is consistent with transport preventive security legislative frameworks and the National Counter Terrorism arrangements. The ability to work collaboratively within an analytical team environment and to provide intellectual leadership to frame complex security concepts in a clear and logical manner in support of Departmental objectives is also essential.
